This place is unprofessional. After submitting several assignments and jumping through hoops of rounds of consideration, I was emailed a super brief form reject for a position I did not apply to. I then had to send a polite email to clarify if it was still meant for me as this was not the position I had interviewed for, and a few days later received a confirmation about the “mistype” and that they are still not interested in moving forward. For the precision they expect in the multiple rounds of assignments they demand, an error like that is a pretty ridiculous level of disregard and demonstrates how little they respect applicants. In their one-liner rejection of “we aren’t interested in moving you forward with X position (not what I applied for), wishing you well with your job search endeavors!” I was super confused because A) I didn’t apply to that job, B) zero feedback or reasoning was provided. If you expect such a deep unpaid time commitment from applicants, you can’t be so unprofessional as to say literally nothing about their free labor and then go full-blown soulless and not even thank them for that time (then reject them for the wrong job), and C) I was told the bulk of the position was service/writing based which I have very strong professional experience in both and was even reassured during my interview that my completed assignments reflected what Grow Therapy was looking for. I thought the interview went okay despite the fact that I am a shy person and do get nervous in interviews, so I don’t know what happened but I left this process feeling like I didn’t fit in with their country club or whatever is going on here. Future applicants, your talent is worth so much more than this.
