I submitted my application online and a recruiter emailed me to arrange a technical phone screening. The screening was roughly 15 minutes and was a series of basic technical questions (e.g. What are examples of supervised and unsupervised learning?). Next was a series of back-to-back video interviews with two managing consultants and a director. These were a consistent mix of background/personal questions, technical questions, and conversation. Finally, there was an interview with the partner which was also conversational and focused on questions I had about the company, working there, the business model, etc.
Overall the interviews themselves were enjoyable and at a respectable level of technical rigor. However, the recruiter and recruiting team were not responsive and I frequently had to call them for details on the next steps. I thought it was odd and unprofessional when the partner complained how slow the recruiting team operated...but he was right.
It's been one month since the final interview with the partner and I still haven't received a formal response one way or another regarding my candidacy. Overall, it was a month-long interview process that was the right level of challenging but my interactions with the recruiters were mostly disappointing.
