I interviewed with the District Manager directly. Had a great conversation, very laid back and insightful. New store manager was present during interview, but asked no questions. Was offered position immediately.

What 10 albums would I take with me on a Desert Island?
Well thought out interview pretty easy, I thought it went well but didn't get offered a position. I still feel like they are a good company although I heard they changed there commission structure in the past few years.
Simple and to the point. They want to know if you fit into the company culture. They also want to know what your skill set is as far as musical ability. It is very easygoing and relaxed

Felt like I was being interrogated or discriminated against, as if this were an important career. Dude, you hire high school students. Give me a break. Avoid applying to guitar center.
