I applied online. I interviewed at H E B (San Antonio, TX) in Feb 2022
Interview
I applied online, immediately was emailed to do an online interview. After having my application/online interview reviewed I scheduled an In-person interview. After that was scheduled for another in person interview with a store leader.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
“Tell me about yourself, what are some hobbies you have?”
“If a new co-worker doesn’t fully understand their job, are falling behind, and need help. Helping them will force you to fall behind in your work. What do you do in this circumstance?”
Called me in for an interview knowing I had no overnight experience and no stocking experience but declined to give me an offer because of this, or so they say. I would say it's more likely they saw I was short and a little chubby and instantly discriminated against me physically, assuming I could not do the job. Then kicked me over to the Deli guy for an impromptu interview. Both ghosted me afterwards. Honestly pretty unprofessional behavior.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at H E B (Baytown, TX)
Interview
Pretty easy I got asked all the same questions that you would at any other interview like “describe a time where you had to work as a team” only reason I didn’t get the job is because they wanted someone to work a full 8 hour shift and I just wanted to work 4 max.

Interview
I applied online and 2 weeks later received a call from a manager for an interview. In my opinion, the interview went well and manager seemed excited for me to join the team. Afterwards, I heard nothing for several days. I called back and was told job was given to an internal applicant.
