Interview
I had an interview with HR and shortly after I was scheduled for two panel interviews. HR sent me an email informing me that the position had attracted a lot of interest and that they would give me an update by the end of the week. When I followed up with the HR representative because I hadn't heard back, she assured me that she would have an update by the following week. I followed up once more after the following week passed with no response. I should receive an update by the beginning of the next week, she said. I waited until the following Thursday because HR had not given me any updates. While I was waiting for HR to respond, I noticed on their candidate website that the status had been changed to "Submitted; Not Selected." It was a huge waste of my time and absurd. Why did they have to lie to me about when they would contact me with an update and why did I have to follow up three times? After this experience, I'll never look into applying for a job at HEB again.
