I applied in-person. I interviewed at H&M (Melbourne) in Aug 2017
Interview
H&M Australia is very strict with their hiring. I have worked at H&M in another country for 3 years and have helped train the pioneer staff of H&M Australia, and they still did not give me an offer. I was put into a group interview with people with no experience at H&M. It was like my experience did not count for anything. Very disappointed with their overall hiring process for previous staff. I am a very experienced staff as well.

Question 1
They asked why you want to work for H&M and to describe the outfit you are wearing. They also give scenarios about what happens in the store and ask for responses from the group. Then they have an activity where they give you two pieces of clothing and ask you to develop a collection/campaign by choosing other clothing and accessories provided.
I got an interview with 2 interviewer. Common questions and some of professional. They provided relaxed atmosphere, make me feel easy. Especially how to deal with some problems. Not too hard.

It was a group interview. They asked us about fashion and what we know about H&M and it’s background. We also had a task in groups to come up with good answers to the questions given, we also had to present.
It was a group interview, we did group tasks like styling people for different occasions and answering . It was pretty focused on the company values and if you have a love for fashion.
