I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at H&M in Sep 2015
Interview
It's a four step process. First, you have a phone interview that lasts about 5 minutes. Then you have two other interviews where they ask basic questions and scenario questions, and the last one is the job offer where they explain the benefits and working for the store, etc. They may repeat questions in all three interviews since you're interviewing with each manager and supervisor of the store. Each interview was probably 15 minutes or less.
Depends on the store though.
If you have a long line of customers that are ready to pay, you're the only cashier, and a customer comes up to your side to ask if you could get them a shirt and there was no other employee in sight, what would you do?
I applied online. I interviewed at H&M (Dundalk) in Mar 2026
Interview
It was lovely, very interactive. Getting to meet new people, seeing the H&M store was really nice. The supervisor was really professional and warm. First we got to know each other, then did a question and answers round with everyone, situation based, customer service based, questions to display your skills etc, talking about H&M values and then we had a group task, to come with a outfit based on the provided situation.
I applied online. I interviewed at H&M (Brighton, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
Group interview, asked us questions like what's our hobbies and why do we want to work at H&M. We then had to work in pairs to choose the importance of certain scenarios that we may come across. We then were given a scenario in a group and had to go around the shop and choose an outfit suitable for that scenario. We ended the interview being asked two random questions about the brand or anything in general.
