I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at H&R Block (Chula Vista, CA) in Dec 2017
Interview
Friendly and laid back. It was a group interview in which we were told what was expected of us should we get the position and how long the employment season would last. The interviewer asked us to tell her something about ourselves (a sales pitch of sorts): languages that we spoke, past experience, etc.
It was very easy and the interviewer was very friendly and encouraging. Even when I didn’t exactly answer a question well they gave me some feedback on what to do when the situation actually happened.
Pretty basic, two people interview you, ask you to explain your resume and the typical questions of what you would do in xy situation. Pretty easy, not too much pressure.
Interview is usually a single virtual interview with one of two managers. The interview is about 20-30 minutes long. First it starts with simple basic questions, then moves to longer situational questions, and then ended with logistical questions like availability, pay, etc.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you worked with someone who was frustrated. What steps did you take to navigate the situation?
