I applied through Glassdoor and was contacted if I can attend a 3 months unpaid training and the materials will cost $149. I said I don’t have money for it so she waived the fee. I start attending the training but it wasn’t a mutual fit because I really don’t see myself preparing taxes. Also, there’s also no stability because it’s a seasonal employment. After 2 months, I was contacted to do a face-to-face interview. I scheduled my interview online and I picked 3pm. I received an e-mail that my interview is at 3pm CST. I am at EST so I immediately change the time to 2pm CST so it will be 3pm EST. I arrived at the office at 2:45pm and was greeted by a tax preparer and she said I think the person who is going to interview you just left. I was shock and then I was greeted by the district manager who is also about to leave. He conducted the interview and he looks UNINTERESTED, DISENGAGED and just in a hurry to get out of there. I gave him an impression that I am also not interested in the job with the answers I provided to his scripted interview. Thank God I did not fall on that trap. I could only imagine the culture in this company. What a shame and what a waste of time!
