Very good and smooth process. Flexibility in scheduling interviews. Options to choose other locations. Interview was held remotely on video call which was very convenient and flexible at the same time.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at HOK
Interview
The interview was conducted via video call at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. I met with two employees for about an hour and spoke about my portfolio and previous work experience. The employees I met with were pleasant, and it was a good experience overall.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HOK (Calgary, AB)
Interview
The interview was about and hour, they asked me about myself and to go through a couple of my projects. I had a bad experience because the interviewers became condescending while presenting to them a project completed with a partner. The attitude was that I was not capable of completing the work I showed. They didn't seem to believe the amount I had contributed to the project. Shortly afterwards, one of the two interviewers left the meeting early, despite it being scheduled for the full hour by their administrative staff. I found it very rude and unmotivating, and was an immediate red flag. It spoke volumes to me about their company culture and how they treat people. Based on this interview experience alone, I would not want to be an employee at this firm.
