Application started online, first a math test and personality test. After passing I had a face to face interview with a branch manager which lasted around half an hour. Questions read from a paper and notes taken by the manager.

Competency questions e.g. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer
The interview was professional, well-structured and welcoming. The questions were clear and relevant, and the interviewer created a comfortable environment while giving helpful insight into the role. The process was formal but that is to be expected given the company
The interview consisted of going through the curriculum vitae. explaining why I am good for the role. and examples of instances i showed hsbc values. showed what my ambitions were.
