The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Handshake
Interview
I withdrew myself. They want you to meet with about 10 people. They will tell you it’s only 3 interviews but one of them is a multi-hour “panel” where up to 7 people are coming in and out. They also asked for a 45 minute presentation. It’s completely excessive and shows an utter lack of care for candidates time. If a company can’t make a decision on a candidate after 3 real interviews (with only 3 or 4 people) it shows some internal issues.

Typical situation/experience questions in the first two interviews
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Handshake in Mar 2022
Interview
The worst interview experience I’ve ever had.
Several rounds of interviews, including a panel interview/presentation with Q&A, multiple (3) separate interviews with the hiring manager (red flag!), two rounds of interviews with different team members, and a very intensive take-home assignment (multiple problems/prompts).
I spent several days completing the take-home assignment as I wanted to deliver my best work. No feedback was given. When I asked the hiring manager for feedback, all he said was “good job”. Really?! That’s it? No meaningful feedback whatsoever. I wonder if he even reviewed my work.
Long time gaps between each step of the process, and the entire process took 2 full months. Recruiter never reached out at any point to give updates or feedback. Only heard from the recruiting coordinator when it was time to schedule the next round of interviews.
This was by far the most intense and involved interview process I’ve ever experienced. And the worst part was I never heard back after the very last interview/final round. Nothing. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. A complete waste of my time and effort.
