Very unprofessional experience. Sr. Technical Recruiter sought me out, and asked me to stay in the process of interviewing for the job. Would say she would call at a certain time, and be late every time. She made me believe that I had more or less landed the job. Talked to me about when I start, etc. Said there was just one other person that they were waiting to interview, but is was just out of courtesy. Promised to call me Friday afternoon after the final interview about details for starting. ...No call Friday afternoon... I waited patiently all weekend, not knowing why she did not call as promised. I sent an email to her first thing Monday, and was told she would call me in the early afternoon. ...No call... She claimed she was busy and would try to call me that evening. ...No call... I got the run around the next day too. Did not hear from her until the late afternoon. It was a 30 second phone call to tell me they had chosen the other candidate. That's fine. But how unprofessional! Instead of dodging, why not be truthful? Tell me that you are in the middle of deciding. Don't lead me to believe that the job was basically mine, just pending a courtesy interview. The blow was multiplied because of the misleading conversations, and the dodging of telling me the decision. Waiting and wondering what is going on, is frustrating. Lending Club should take a look at how they are treating their candidates.
