I did a lot of research on the company before I applied. I just moved to California from Texas with previous exp. as a dog bather (boarding and daycare as well) and I already knew that HS was the one and the only job for me.
I submitted my resume with a cover letter informing a little bit about myself and my goals and received a call within days. Step 2 was a phone screening, which was on the long side of about 45 min with recruiter Jennifer H. We talked about the job, myself and laughed for a lot of the time. Before the call, I was extremely nervous but Jennifer really warmed me into every question.
My in-person interview was at the location I trained at for a month MDR, before moving to Manhattan beach full time. I dressed business casual, slacks with shoes I could move in well. In total I was at MDR for 3.5hrs, interview with Manager Destiny which was a repeat of my phone screening, skills test to level up and show the skills I already possessed and gave the store a little peek on the areas they wanted to work on with me. I hung out (professionally) to get to know the people who would hopefully be my coworkers and take in a lot of advice.
Healthy Spot really gets to know their employees, professionally and personally, creating friendships that make HS feel more than a job but a family. I am so thankful for everyone and wish you the best luck.
