      Pricing Analyst Interview

      Aug 28, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hearst (New York, NY) in Aug 2018

      Interview

Three round interview process. Brief Phone call, in person interview, final in person interview + excel test. I got through to the final rounds of the process and all seemed to have gone pretty well. The interview was more of a conversation rather than back and forth questions. Afterwards the HR employee stated that she would have results in less a week. Over a week went by after my interview and I still received to follow up on the status of my application. Only after a week and a half did I reach out and finally get a very generic negative response. In my opinion, after having come into the office twice of separate occasions and having put in the time for preparing and coming into NYC, it was rude that I only received a response from the company only after asking. It is quite clear that the decision was made on the hire long before I emailed. After having received a negative offer, I kindly emailed them asking for any feedback regarding my interview to help me in the future. However, to this day I received no response from them. Again, I just find it quite rude and disrespectful given I met the team in person multiple times. Were I in HR, I'd be doing my job differently simply out of respect to people.
