After applying for the position I was contacted by a recruiter to set up a phone interview. After that she passed me along to an interview with the branch manger. After saying I would receive follow up about a decision I heard nothing. This was 4 weeks ago, which is completely unprofessional. I saw that happened to others, but that was further back. Surely they’ve improved since then, nope. The actual interview felt like a joke. I was seriously asked to sell a pen, I didn’t know that was a question people legit asked in 2019. It basically felt like the manager googled interview questions and just read off a list. In what professional interview do you ask about punctuality and work ethic? This is not a warehouse job, typically if the correct questions are asked by a good interviewer those things will be apparent. I’m glad they didn’t offer me a job, it saved me the time turning it down. The pay sucked and the only reason the spot was open because an employee of 7 years left, so for sure no growth opportunities.
