I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hertz (Salt Lake City, UT) in Mar 2014
Interview
I had a phone interview with the recruiter about a week after I submitted my resume. Then we set up an interview with a branch manager. When I got there it wasn't the correct manager, it was his employee. He didn't know that I was going to be coming so he was completely unprepared. The interview was the easiest I've had in my life and then I was called with an offer a week later. The company is very relaxed and it would be a great position, but I was very turned off with how unprofessional it was. I was also interviewing with a competitor, and the competitor was much more professional and thorough. When you make money on how you perform, you want to be professional! I also got a lot of responses about the job from the manager vs the recruiter that did not match such as what location I'd be working at, how much I'd get paid/bonuses, and what hours I'd be required to work. If the company could have been on the same page, I probably would have accepted the offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Typical questions - tell me a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer, you were measured by performance goals, you had to lead a team, etc. He was mostly focused on having me ask questions.
The interview was pretty smooth, it was more like a chat with the interviewer. I got asked basic interview questions however I thought that because it was a trainee position.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hertz (Rockville, MD) in Oct 2025
Interview
I applied for this position 1 week before I got a email from a recruiter asking for my resume because "She couldn't see it on her end". Understandable technology messes up sometime cool. I sent her a email with my resume attached and apologized for the inconvenience (knowing damn well it aint my fault) and she didn't respond 3 days later I called her phone number courtesy of her email signature. She apologized and sent me a interview link...... Had the interview with the branch manager seemed like a nice interview. He asked me questions and I answered to the best of my ability, I asked him questions about the day to day and he answered and we ended the call with him giving my his email stating if i had more questions to email him. I send him a Thank you Email about 5 mins later and get no response. 5 days later I go on the Hertz portal to see if they had any other locations a bit closer to me because the location I applied for didn't and instead I find the job I just interviewed for saying I wasn't selected. It would've been nice to have gotten an email so I didn't have to put other applications on hold

Question 1
Tell me about your pervious employment and your day to day at that location
terrible process, was too many interviews and to many questions for a MT job. They took to long to get back with me, and would not give the reasons why I was not hired.
