I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hewlett Packard Enterprise | HPE (Salt Lake City, UT) in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview starts with an HR recruiter asking about qualifications, and sets up an interview with the HR manager. Next interview with the architect with whom you will work closely. The question usually involve about tooling and your technical background. Be prepared and ready to discuss your past work experience. A strong foundation is usually preferred in this stage. Next you will interview with the team leader for the project, and the team leader will ask you behavior question how you deal with problems at work. These are things you cannot learn at school, but only at your job. Third director interview to make sure you are the right fit. Then salary negotiation, which I wasn't able to negotiate.

Tell me your experience with SIEM at work what did you do?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hewlett Packard Enterprise | HPE (Houston, TX) in Sep 2025
Interview
I had an awful experience in a recent interview with HPE, I was applying for a job in their Cybersecurity department. I was berated by one of the interviewers who didn’t seem to like my answers to his questions. It felt like an interrogation more than an actual interview. The questions asked were the standard questions in interviews, so my answers were ones I had given before and were sufficient for other companies.
The other interviewers that I spoke with seemed very nice so maybe it’s just one rotten egg? It put me off wanting to work there if this is how they treat people applying for jobs. Would not recommend interviewing for jobs in cybersecurity here.
