Need to get interview 2-3 times; state clear job description and job expectation. HR will verify first some details in resume verbally, especially some academic result and professional certifications. Manager will loop-in a senior technology consultant to ensure the person interviewed is the good fix; they also will check the person attitude, communication skill, and other soft skills.

Interview
Interviewed with Hiring Manager and Lead over the phone. Very few technical questions. I applied for the job on the web, was called my the recruiter, interviewed the next day with the manager, got an offer the very next day and negotiated a higher salary.
