It was an on-campus opportunity, almost 3000 students applied for the same with around 700 students receiving online test links and 30 eventually got a chance for 2 different roles, 15 for R&D intern and 15 for telecom. I was in the R&D group. the interview had 3 rounds -> 1st round was technical which was quite difficult for me only than others . 2 people were interviewing me together they started with an intro and asked me 2 core subjects I am comfortable with, I said OS and DSA . Then they started asking os questions they were difficult certainly not fresher level, I was only able to answer them partially like how does kernel work in Linux and many more os related in-depth questions, later they started asking computer networks, with 1 st question what happens when we try searching google.com on browser and later went in how does datalink layer and network layer manage packet and how do IP and mac add . is laid in the packet and then some other questions. Now other interviewer started asking me DSA questions 1 easy question on the linked list (finding loop in a linked list) and 2 nd medium question on graphs (forming a graph and applying shortest path algo. from given scenario) and with this 1 st round ended somehow they sent me to 2 nd round of interview I was surprised myself, 2nd interview went quite fine, the interviewer was very friendly he asked me to provide me with an intro and later asked some basic SQL queries and then asked me how does rest API works and different methods for same. asked some basic questions on DBMS and keys. then he asked me gfg puzzle about 3 bulbs and 3 switch. then he asked a medium-level dsa question about finding the sum of all of the child nodes on left and sum of all the nodes on the right of the root and the difference between them. 3 interview round was HR and it went for like 10 min other interviews were for about 40 min each , some basic hr questions like what is your family background why HPE and details about compensation .
