I interviewed for a Customer Success position. The initial stages of the process were very efficient and moved quickly. As part of the process, I was asked to prepare a presentation. While the preparation took a moderate amount of time, the actual presentation session was quite short.
My main takeaway is that it’s crucial to prepare for the deep-dive questions from the managers watching the presentation, as that’s where the real evaluation happens.
Unfortunately, the communication broke down at the final stage. After delivering the presentation, I didn't receive any update until I proactively reached out via email. It felt like I was forgotten, and only after my follow-up did I receive a rejection notice two days later. Overall, a professional process that was marred by a disappointing ending regarding ghosting/follow-up.
