I heard nothing but amazing things about working for Hines from friends and family. My two interviews with the smaller subsidiary for the position were very laid back, easy, and friendly. I was genuinely looking forward to the job, coworkers, and managers.
I had a family tragedy come up between the first and second interviews, which put a lot of uncertainty in my life. I feel like I was extremely transparent with the recruiter (that worked for Hines Central - Global) of my situation, and I would absolutely keep him up to date. However, he suddenly became very direct, asking me if this position is what I really wanted, he needs to know that, or I need to make other decisions because he has other candidates on the list. If this is how Hines handles personal issues, this company is not for me.
Not what I would consider a "Hines" experience by any means. In the end, I was relieved I was not offered the position.
