Hines Project Accountant interview questions

Interview and related testing is a very thorough exercise, likely involving at least four different people and more than one visit to the Hines office. You will be asked about your prior experience and your education in great detail, including what you learned, how you interacted with all types of other people, the challenges you faced and how you met or overcame them. You should know that your background information will be checked out very thoroughly too. People will be contacted and documentation will be obtained. You will probably be asked about things that were found in this checking during subsequent interviews. Tests will be performed to determine your current skill levels in performing key tasks. Also a personality profile to determine that you are able to work effectively with others at Hines.

1st Round: Phone interview with HR. She asked behavioral questions. I got a call back within a day or two. 2nd Round: In-person interviews with the Senior Project Accountant and Controllers. We talked more about the role and my background. They were less traditional in terms of the interview and more of a conversation along with some questions and answers from both sides. I got a call back again within a day or two to set up the last interview. 3rd Round: In-person interview with the Regional Controller. This was also similar to the prior interview round. No specifics in terms of salary or benefits were discussed.
