I initially interviewed with two hiring managers. It seemed fairly standard, however some of the questions were ridiculously specific. I answered as best I could. I was told I would hear back within 7-10 days. I heard nothing.
Three months later, I received an email asking if I was still interested in the role, and invited back for a first interview. I mentioned that I had already interviewed with them, but assumed the role was on hold as I never heard back. I clarified if they wanted to interview me for a second interview.
They confirmed it was a second interview, so I met with the same hiring manager again. She said something about a restructure and they were working out the team resources which is why they hadn’t hired anyone.
After the interview, again, they said I would hear back within a week. After 4 weeks of hearing nothing, I emailed them multiple times. I eventually received a generic response that I was unsuccessful. I have noticed that the role was re-advertised. They clearly do not know what they want.
For a company of this size with literally thousands of Talent Acquisition Managers, I find it hard to believe they can't find the time to get back to candidates who have spent a lot of time to research and prepare for this company. The values on your website mean absolutely nothing if you can't do one simple thing such as providing feedback to a candidate. Show some empathy - it's a tough job market, and companies like this need to be called out for extremely bad behaviour.
A complete waste of time.
