I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hortonworks
Interview
While this process was relatively quick it did involve a lot of phone and in person interviews, more than I had expected. It did seem that at each interview I would attempt to close the interviewer only to get to the next stage which was an interview with another person.

Question 1
Nothing too difficult but I was asked to develop and present a territory plan.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hortonworks (Dallas, TX) in Apr 2016
Interview
Overall took 4 weeks. Extensive - 2 calls with recruiting, call with hiring manager, 2 in person interviews with RVP and Territory Plan, final call with NA VP of Sales.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Hortonworks (London, England) in Aug 2015
Interview
Without doubt the most unprofessional interview process I have had the unfortunate pleasure to encounter. Recruiter (EMEA & APAC) is incredibly inexperienced – it took over 2 weeks to gather feedback from one interview (he wasn’t on vacation), had my third interview before he received feedback from the previous. When pushed for feedback he stated “yeah, I’ll get round to that”…. Honesty and integrity is most certainly amiss. VP International Operations is more interested in showing me around the office than discussing vision & strategy. Met with HW's competitor which resulted is a more professional engagement.
Did not reach offer stage due to taking myself out of the process.

Question 1
As expected, questions regarding sales methodology, performance and career highlights, territory and close plans, examples of customer wins, industry interest and Hadoop/Open Source. Straightforward questioning.
