I was contacted through InMail on LinkedIn for an HR role and had a good conversation with a senior HR team member who was professional and provided a clear overview of the company and role. I had an initial interview, which I felt went well. During the interview, there was a lot of emphasis on the company’s culture, with repeated references to how everyone embodies the ‘Howden’ way and company values and how they stand out from competitors.
Afterward, I reached out to follow up and get feedback on the interview, but received no response despite multiple attempts. It’s disappointing when communication breaks down like this, as even a simple “no” would have been appreciated. If this reflects the company culture, I’m glad I learned about it early on and that the Howden way is actually wasting people’s time and not respecting others. It was particularly surprising to encounter this lack of professionalism from senior members of the HR team.
