I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA) in Oct 2017
Interview
I had about 12 different interactions over 3 weeks for this position. Had phone interviews with recruiters and managers, as well as role play interviews, feedback phone calls, 4 in person interviews in Cambridge and an additional in person interview in Portsmouth.
The recruiting team there is great. They are always on time, and they know how to efficiently keep the process (even though very long) moving quickly.
I was certainly caught off guard for not getting the position after all of the positive feedback I got from each individual after each step of the process. It was a huge bummer. The worst part of the offer phone call was the feedback as of why I did not get the position did not coincide with the feedback I was provided all along the way and instead, went completely against the positive feedback I got along the way.
Hubspot is certainly a difficult company to get into, but if you have the opportunity to get on the inside, you should certainly pat yourself on the back as we are all looking from the outside in.
