Well, no challenges with this one - as my mind was made up within the first 10 seconds. I have a network connection that put me intouch with the hiring manager. We had a great conversation. The hiring manager was coming in from another bank and needed to get settled in the position. Because of the friends in circles network, we agreed to move forward with process. They stated "bank procedure" they'd have a recruiter contact me to get the technical things out of the way. This is where my friend will probably receive a learned lesson after our conversation to my experience with the recruiter. All I can say is WOW; she might have well emailed the screen she was reading from, so I could help her with the typing. An absolute terrible reflection of this bank and their hiring process. There are many other things I could go into more detail, but don't care to spend the time. She attempted the "we will get back to you" nonsense - found this to be a complete insult. I told my internal contact and my network friends, this reflection has confirmed I'll just stay where I am.
