I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at IBM (Nairobi) in Mar 2014
Interview
I interviewed with a professor at my undergraduate university. I didn't have to interview again with IBM since I was shortlisted among a group of 6 students forwarded to IBM. I think the thing that helped me get the position was my leadership position and academic qualifications. I believe the process would have been different if I had interviewed with IBM.
The interview process was professional and structured, with clear communication throughout. Questions focused on relevant experience, problem solving, and culture fit. Overall, the experience was straightforward and respectful from start to finish.
2 on site interviews but this was before COVID. Lots of disorganization getting them scheduled and had to meet with lots of people for two days both times. Went out to dinner with a few members of the team the first night also
Done virtually over multiple days. Started off with a phone call with a few team members, gave an hour long research seminar, then met with three more groups. Topics range from your own projects, AI knowledge, Python/data science
