I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ICF (Washington, DC)
Interview
I received a call from a recruiter to schedule a phone interview a couple of days after submitting my application. This interview, led by the principal of the division, lasted 30 minutes and consisted of pretty specific behavioral questions. After this, I was invited for an in-person interview in the office, which consisted of five thirty-minute interviews with different people on the team I was going to be working with, from research assistant to manager. The recruiter I had been speaking with throughout the process called me to offer me the position the next week.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ICF in Apr 2023
Interview
Two interview rounds. The first interview was more about getting know each other, interests, the team. The second interview was with more senior staff members, a bit more on talking about technical abilities and interests, followed by a case study writing assignment. The assignment took 2.5h and was adequate for the level that I applied for.
The process took a long time. Sometimes I did not hear anything for several weeks and had to chase them, other times they were super responsive and called me spontaneously to discuss expectations. Overall positive and friendly, but at times inconsistent!
Panel interview with multiple people. Lasted two hours. Panelists were nice and professional. Described the position, asked a series of about 10 questions, asked about interest in topical area of project and technical skills.
