Where to begin? Was interviewed by a BD director and his team of 6 managers. The managers interviewing me were also in the same position I applied for me. From start to finish the process was incredibly unprofessional. The director decided to walk off screen whilst conducting the interview and did not apologise for randomly leaving. To add insult to injury, it was evident the team were sharing messages between themselves as I was met with smirks from a few people. I was also told by another manager “perhaps you should join a smaller CRO” or, “why not consider another type of role?” I was asked to describe my career to date and met with the remark of “don’t tell me the names of your school teachers!” It’s evident the values within ICON are so disjointed that you are judged by the colour of your skin rather than the experiences you bring. It’s safe to say I’ve never heard from the business again and it has certainly left a sour taste in my mouth.
