      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Bolingbrook, IL) in Feb 2018

      Interview

Filled out an online application through their website and received an email about a week later to schedule a phone interview. Phone interview was short with standard questions - I told the interviewer I was looking to make approximately $40,000 annually, and she told me the hourly rate was $18 per hour, so roughly $38,000, but this would be negotiable. About a week after the phone interview, I received an email from the department manager to schedule an interview at the Bolingbrook IL location. I scheduled the interview for today, where I sat with the department manager and another supervisor. They started the interview by telling me how under-staffed they were and that they were effectively in "crisis mode". They then made sure that I had complete open availability between 7:30am and 11:30pm every single day. Interview questions were standard, but when it came time to discussing salary, I told them that I was told it started at $18 per hour....that's when the manager told me it was actually only $14 per hour and that the phone interviewer had been mistaken, but that I could work my way up to make more money. This was a massive waste of my time and if offered the job, I will be declining it.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Baltimore, MD) in Dec 2021

      Interview

(Let me first say that this was my 4th attempt applying with IKEA before given an offer-granted in the past there where things on my end that help me back from securing the job) First Step: I applied online for a "customer support specialist" position. Second Step: Received a phone interview request via email the next day. Third Step: Completed a 45min phone interview and was recommended another position more related to my experience which is a plus. Scheduled an in-person interview 2 days later before ending the phone interview. Fourth Step: Went to their center and had a 45min interview, following a slight tour, and left. Fifth Step: Received a phone call from the same recruiter exactly 1 week later with a contingent job offer and was also sent some "congratulations" type emails. Sixth Step: Took my drug test and signed my background check within 2 days. about 5 days later (which was 2 days ago) my pre-employment screening was successfully completed and now I'm just waiting for that final confirmation email or call since I have yet heard anything about IKEA having to renege the job offer. WISH ME LUCK, AND GOOD LUCK TO THOSE INTERESTED!!
