I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at IRS (Memphis, TN) in Jul 2021
Interview
There is no interview process. They host an online information event in which they give a overview of the job role. They then have you to go to the USAJobs website and apply to the job positing. Weeks later they send an initial offer letter and then another several weeks pass before receiving the firm job offer which presents a salary that is non-negotiable even when you have a high level of experience. Sign the offer letter and you begin working after several more weeks of waiting. Terrible process. There is no personalization to get to know a candidate and what they bring to the table which means you get grouped in with people who have far less experience, resulting in an insulting salary offer.

What has been a difficult experience with a client?
No interview for this position. I was just called with a job offer and told to come in to pick up my equipment. This was during covid, so it may have been different.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at IRS (Austin, TX) in Apr 2024
Interview
Very Easy. No interview.
I applied online. Attended the hiring event. They selected 200 people. Sent us and email and we had to answer questions within the email. Wait for a tentative offer email. Accept the offer. Wait for someone to call you and do your fingerprints and take a pic for your badge. After that process i had to wait for a firm offer and that offer let you know your pay and schedule.
