I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Indeed in Aug 2021
Interview
The interview process is very fast-paced. 3 rounds of technical interviews (mostly DSA is asked) followed by a manager round. Interviews last for about 60-70 minutes depending on the interviewer. The final manager round lasted 40 mins.

Question 1
Q1. Given a binary tree, compact the space required. The point is that a tree node contains a (4 bytes of data, 4 bytes of left pointer, 4 bytes of right pointer). Therefore, to store 4 bytes of data, you require 12 bytes.
Q2. A lot of questions on tree and graph traversal algorithms and the differences between them, with a lot of emphasis on time complexities.
Q3. Given an array “cleanTitles” consisting of titles such as “Software Engineer”, “Mechanical Engineer” and so on. You are then provided with a “rawTitle” for eg, “Require a software engineer, paying $10000”. You are supposed to find which cleanTitle that has the most overlapping words (this is the scoring function) and then return that clean title.

Other Software Developer Interview Reviews for Indeed
Only did the 1st round. It was a medium Leetcode question. The interview was only for 30 min. Their compiler threw an unexpected error, which even the interviewers couldn't fix
Terrible scheduling. Difficult company to deal with. Will not contact again. Pay was below industry average for the location. Misleading job description. Benefits below standard. Hope everyone avoids this place
In total, there were five interviews. Three of them were more technical and the other two or more about your background. The technical interviews were pretty standard simple to medium Leetcode questions.

Question 1
I was asked about how we kept metrics in my previous job. When I told him that this was something we didn’t really do, he continued to harp on this question for the entirety of the interview, as if it was something that would be very difficult for me to learn.
