I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Innodata (Austin, TX) in Aug 2023
Interview
After submitting an application, then completing an editing and writing assessment, I was invited for an interview. It was held via Zoom and the interviewer was very rude. She seemed to be in a hurry to conduct the interview and appeared to be uninterested in me. When I was answering her questions, she actually rolled her eyes a few times. Unbelievable and so unprofessional. The interviewer also jumped from question to question and didn't really give me a chance to fully answer her. I'm beyond qualified for this position--in fact, I currently have the exact same position with a different company. However, I was rejected for this position. I'm relieved at this outcome if being offered this job meant reporting to the interviewer.
The entire interview process lasted a total of 8 minutes for one interview. Should have been a red flag. There were no follow-up interviews. The man who interviewed me also had "Open to Work" on his LinkedIn profile and was very unenthusiastic during our conversation.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Innodata
Interview
Absolutely one of the WORST.
A recruiter reached out to me, saying the process is really quick and their candidates love it, and I applied. I heard back quickly. They sent me 90 min English assessment, which I passed. Then they sent me 90 min assessment in another language, which I also passed. Then they scheduled an interview with the recruiter and he said he would send me two more assessments. One was basically personality test and the other was another English competency test. After finishing both, I sent a follow up email because it was past the date he said he would reach back out to me. He replied a few days after the email, saying I have passed the both assessments but they are waiting for the training date to be confirmed before giving me an offer. I waiting for another week and sent a follow up email and haven’t heard back. I might end up being ghosted.
Ghosting a candidate, or simply not communicating thoroughly after FOUR assessments is NOT acceptable. Just don’t apply here. How they treat you as a candidate is a reflection of how they would treat you as an employee.
The first round was 2 language assessments, each lasts for 90min. Not hard if you use both languages in daily basis. After you completed both assessments, they will send you an email to schedule an interview with HR, which is really chill as well.
