Interview
A recruiter solicited me via LinkedIn, and after speaking to them on the phone she said she'd talk to the hiring manager to see if they were interested in proceeding. After she talked to them, she scheduled me for an interview on site. This was a job working for the company itself, not a contract position for one of their clients. They asked for 2 references before I even went on site for the interview. The interview on site seemed to go well. I met with a manager and some team leads all at the same time (one of them was about 10 minutes late), and it was very conversational instead of just a bunch of questions. I sent a thank you email the same day and got a positive response within an hour. My references told me a day later that they both got calls, and the caller told them I was overqualified for the role I interviewed for but they had another position in mind for me. Both of my references said they gave me great references and that the calls went really well, but I never heard another word from the recruiter or anyone else. It felt extremely weird to learn from a friend that they considered me overqualified and that they were considering me for another position, instead of hearing that from someone at the company itself. I'm not sure why that was even brought up during the calls with them. Looking back on it, the whole thing just feels weird, especially since this wasn't even a job that I applied to.
It was a overall nice experience. They were open and honest about what was expected of me. The interviews also provided good answer to any questions I had. They went above and beyond my expectations.

Very Professional and informative. Client was busy with company matters where insight global did their best to provide information when available. Insight global played a great intermediary between the hiring client and the applicant.
