very typical of a recruitment firm - spoke to lead recruiter and her manager they were very nice to work with. i asked them to work quickly with me since i had another offer working and they were very easy to help in this regard as it worked for them as well. i am not sure yet if i agree with the 6 month contract to hire because i am a full time ee.

It was over the phone for the preliminary. Followed by a 2nd interview over the phone with the main recruiter for the role. Questions were standard system analyst questions you'd get for someone who's worked in the field. It was important to know the specific programs used in previous experience that pertain to the role.
