      Insperity requires candidates to provide background check information as part of their application process. This requirement is not appropriate, as it reveals confidential data about the candidate and can be used in a discriminatory way, and in some US states is illegal.

      I heard back for a 1st interview on the same day I applied for the job. I was scheduled for a 1st and 2nd interview in the same week which both appeared to go very well. I moved on to the background check phase which took about a week or so. Once I got the all clear that the background check was good I was told by the recruiter that she was just waiting to hear back from the first person I interviewed with in regards to salary information and a start date as he had meetings with higher ups, and that I would hear something back by the end of the week.I finally got a call the following week that they're moving forward with other candidates. It was kind of a big blow because I'd been waiting around to hear back in regards to the position just to have the rug pulled from under me at the last minute especially after being lead to believe there was an impending offer. It felt like such even more so because I'd been asked if I was still interviewing with other companies, and I let them know that I was just waiting to hear back from them since I'd completed the background check. It still seems like a good company to work for, but this particular experience is a bit deterring. It really hurt to be waiting for a job just to hear I was no longer being considered for the position AFTER completing with background which is usually done after an offer is made/or is pending. It would be a lot kinder to be straight forward with applicants instead of leading them to believe they got the position and then excluding them.

      I wish I had read the interview section on Glassdoor before I went through the process. Save yourself hours of your life and apply elsewhere. They run background checks and request for w2 on all final candidates prior to job offer.
