I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Inspire11 (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2022
Interview
I was reached out to by a recruiter who picked me for my experience through linkedin. I was then scheduled for a 30 min call with a "consultant" that had been there for only 9 months. I had given my availability with lots of times for more than an hour and they only booked 30 min. When I spoke with the woman she wanted more time, which I could not do because of client calls. She did not seem happy about that, but my current employer is my priority.
I never heard anything back for over a week until I reached out. The feedback was "Her main concern was that you have not had enough experience in discovery work and solution development.”...Anyone that works in consulting knows that is what all consultants do, so it's the most idiotic feedback you could give.
If they reach out to you via recruiter, I would think twice before wasting your time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The typical what do you do stuff, projects worked on, etc
It was a fairly standard but lengthy interview process, with about six interviews in all, counting the initial phone screen. Then another Zoom screen with an SE manager, followed by two technical interviews (coding skills and systems design), and another two culture fit interviews with various leadership figures.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The coding interview was an easy/intermediate Leetcode type problem, and then a practical React pair-programming exercise.
Somewhat structured interview process but not very insightful when asking questions about the role. I was not given details when I asked for them and the interviewers were pretty cold
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Inspire11 in Mar 2023
Interview
Interview process was very clearly structured and didn’t take as long as other companies. There was clear communication throughout and felt well informed. First round was cultural followed by a more technical case study.
