Within a day of posting I received an email requesting a phone interview. The interview process was relaxed, yet focused. The initial interview is 30-minutes with talent acquisition. Be prepared to deliver your 90 Second Commercial. The second interview is with the hiring manager, also 30-minutes. The interview process is similar to talent acquisition with additional focus on your responsibilities that are pertinent to their job deliverables.

Interview with Talent Acquisition: Tell me about your background? Additional questions were asked on skill sets that are applicable to the needs of the position. What interest you about the company?
Interview with Hiring Manager: Tell me about your background? What interest you about the position? I asked the question, what are the challenges this position faces? Be prepared to provide approaches to address the challenges.
The interview process started off well and moved quickly, leaving me excited about the role. But after the interviews, communication stopped completely. Despite following up multiple times, I received no response for weeks. I eventually got a generic rejection, which felt like an afterthought. Candidates invest a lot of time and energy preparing for interviews, clear and timely communication should be the minimum. I hope the company improves how it handles candidate experience going forward.
The interview process is a typical one from a tech company with multiple rounds, starting with HR, the hiring manager, team members or employees you will collaborate with from other teams, a business case, the presentation of your results in front of a panel, and lastly a VP or an org leader.

Streamlined. The Instacart team scheduled multiple 30 minute interviews across 1- 2 days. Team asked mostly behavioral questions. There was about a week turn around on the final hiring decision.
