I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Instacart (Washington, DC) in Apr 2015
Interview
I drove to Whole foods, walked upstairs and didn't see anyone at first, then I saw a woman with a green shirt on that says Instacart. I then approached her and we started the interview. She was very down to earth and friendly. She explained a little bit about the company and the duties on how to work the instacart app. She then gave me a shopping list on items I needed to shop for and she timed me. It only took me 12 minutes to find eight items, then she figured out some calculation and wrote it down and then handed me the Instacart badge and credit card to shop at the stores. I am ready to start tomorrow.
Easy interview process including test shopping at a location. It was some time ago when I applied but I remember it being easy. It may have changed in the last couple years.

Interview
There isn’t one they just do a background check and dmv report. I’m not sure what else to put but there is no interview for this position it is self employed
Online application process done entirely through your phone. Not so much an interview as you are self contracted, more so a background check. As expected from a position such as this
