My first interview was a phone call with someone from the team. He asked about my previous experience and background and behavioral questions based on Instacart's values. It was very straight forward. He left a lot of time for questions.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Instacart (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Didn't ask me any questions about myself and was rude. I could tell by the tone of her voice, she was annoyed. She cut me off when I tried to answer and conversation lasted for about 5 mins. Honestly can't say whether or not the interview was hard or easy because she did so little "interviewing". Her main concern seemed to be filling the desk at the job.
