I applied online. I interviewed at Instructure in Mar 2015
Interview
I had high hopes for Instructure based on what others told me about the company and reviews that I found online. The truth is that I came away from the experience very disappointed and had an overall negative experience.
I applied online and heard back a few weeks later with a request for a phone interview. I responded with a few days and times that would work for me, but heard nothing for several days. I decided to send a follow up email and finally heard back from an HR person.
I had a phone interview the same day the HR person responded to my email and I had an in-person interview the next day. Overall my in-person interview was fine until I spoke with one of the head marketing employees. He was extremely arrogant, talked down to me, and seemed more concerned about talking about his friendship with the CMO of Adobe than discussing the position at his company.
My communication with the company through HR and the interview with this marketing employee gave me an overall bad impression of Instructure.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Instructure (Salt Lake City, UT) in Jul 2018
Interview
The interview process was relatively easy. I was emailed to schedule an over the phone screening, which happened a week later. At the end of the phone interview, we scheduled a time for me to go into the company and have an in-person interview. I had my in-person interview a few days later with the hiring manager, team lead, and trainer. They said the in-person interview would last an hour but, it only took about 45 minutes. After the interview, I heard back (with no offer) a week later.

Interview
The interview process was straight forward and fun. I had the Team lead, Department head and then the Director of the Department there. They asked a ton of questions. Interview went about an hour and I definitely feel like I talked a lot. Overall, communicating culture and making an effort to connect was important.

Interview
Pretty basic process. Had an initial phone interview. Was then asked to go for an on site interview. Mostly asked questions about previous experience and situational questions. After that I had another phone interview with another team member whom I would be working with. They also ask questions to see if you would fit the culture of the team and company.
