Shortly after the in-person interview, I received an invite for a follow-up. They also asked me to create a 5-7 minute video showcasing my training style. I posted the video to YouTube and sent a link to the manager and the recruiter. The day before the interview, I received an email from the recruiter saying that a team member had fallen ill and that the interview would be cancelled, but that they would get in touch to reschedule. I never got a call/email to reschedule, even in response to an email that I sent. Finally, 3 weeks after the cancelled interview, I got a generic rejection email from the recruiter. I checked on my video on YouTube, and NOT ONE person had viewed the video. Apparently, the recruiter and the manager knew everything they needed to know about me after the first in-person interview, but they still asked me to spend hours on a training video that they didn't even watch.
Instructure, by all accounts you are an awesome company, but you sadly showed little respect for my time during this process. I hope you treat other professionals you interview with the dignity that they deserve.
