Instructure Sr Product Manager interview questions

I recently had a deeply frustrating experience with Instructure's hiring process that I feel compelled to share. I applied for a role and after weeks of waiting, they finally scheduled an interview. The interview itself went well, and the hiring manager even told me I was going to move forward in the process. However, after that, it was nothing but radio silence. Weeks passed with no updates, despite my repeated follow-ups. The lack of communication was both unprofessional and disrespectful. To add insult to injury, after all that waiting and uncertainty, I received a generic, template rejection email weeks later. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Instructure as an organization. It's clear that they have no respect for candidates' time or effort. If this is how they treat potential employees, I can only imagine how disorganized and unprofessional the rest of the company must be. Instructure needs to seriously reconsider how they handle their hiring process—candidates deserve better.

First round interview was 30 minutes with the recruiter. 2nd round interview was with the hiring manager. 3rd round interview was 2 panel interview with the team, for a total 90 minutes. The recruiter called me and gave me a verbal offer. During this call, they told me that they were offering me the Project Manager role (not senior) because I did not have my PMP. They implied that I was aware of this and that I had discussed it with the hiring manager. This was not the case. Once we got off the phone, I went back to the job description for the senior role I had applied and interviewed for, and nowhere did it say PMP required. In fact, I met the preferred qualifications of scrum certifications. I wrote the recruiter back asking where we were misaligned on the job requirements. A week later the recruiter wrote me an email saying they had offered the job to another candidate with lower salary requirements. After my verbal offer, I never had the opportunity to have a further conversation/negotiation before the offer was rescinded from me. This was a terribly unprofessional interaction.
