Had a phone interview first with general interview questions and questions about my career experience. Then I had a three hour in person interview with 7 different people (not all at once). Toured the facility.
I applied online. I interviewed at Integrated DNA Technologies (Redwood City, CA) in Feb 2019
Interview
One of the most unprofessional and weird interviews I have ever experienced. I had a call with the recruiter and then another with the hiring manager. After this they invited me to their Bay Area office to give an in-person talk followed by multiple one-on-ones. This is when things got weird, they took a break for lunch and decided to take me to a *very* expensive restaurant. After which they told the interview had to be cut short because the person doing the last 1:1 wasn't in the office (?). Shortly after I got an email saying they were on a hiring freeze. I am not entirely sure but it sounded like they literally scheduled interviewees because they wanted to extract free lunch from the company.
