Two rounds, the first being a quick phone screening. The second interview was on Microsoft Teams with who would be my manager and was an awful experience.
He immediately seemed irritated to be in the meeting with me and it was clear he hadn’t even looked at my resume before as he asked what my degree was in. He also brought up responsibilities for the role that were not in the job description as if they were. Furthermore, he was rude when I asked any sort of questions about these extra responsibilities. Overall it was a very negative experience that left me with a sour taste in my mouth.
Maybe this particular manager is horrible but you should probably run all your managers through some trainings on how to interact with people because this isn’t how you should be talking to potential candidates. Can only imagine how poorly they treat those under them.
To anyone that also had a bad experience, especially new graduates. Don’t take it on yourself. I have a significant amount of work experience and no one has ever been rude like this to me in an interview before. It’s the company, not you.
