      Manager Interview

      Feb 19, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Invenergy in Feb 2025

      Interview

Quick from recruiter to hiring manager. Seemed unwilling to hire outside of the industry. HM said I would hear back on my status with the recruiter, but was ghosted for months. Found the recruitment process to be unclear and not transparent.

      Interview

Phone screen with the recruiter went well, but at the end he mentioned the in-office policy of 5 days a week with flex options up to 4 days a month. This was not clear in the job description and, unfortunately, is not feasible for me since I live an hour away. Give the people hybrid or remote options, or at least be clear about your in-office requirements in the description. This was especially disappointing because the hiring manager is in another state/office and only 1 team member is in my state. You lost out on a great candidate because of outdated policies.

      Interview

I applied online and a recruiter reached out for a phone screen. After that, I had a 30 min Teams interview with the hiring manager. Thirty minutes really wasn’t enough time to go through the position, my experience, and leave time for me to ask questions, so I wasn’t surprised when they reached out again wanting to schedule another 15 min interview. We met again, probably for about 30 min or so, but I could tell from the interaction that I wasn’t quite what they were looking for. It’s been a couple of weeks now and I haven’t heard anything else, so I’m assuming they’ve decided to go in a different direction. I wish they’d be more direct and communicative with applicants, especially since I had to set up three different meeting times with them.
