I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J. Crew in Nov 2017
Interview
Applied online and received a call back within a week to schedule a phone screening. About two weeks after the phone screening, I never heard any news or an update on my application status. I reached out to the person who interviewed me, but did not get a response, which I assume I did not get into another round of interviews. (I find this to be very typical when it comes to dealing with HR at any company so I did not penalize my experience based on that.)
Interview questions [1]

Interview
Very quick to respond after job application. Phone Interview with standard questions. A lot of conversation revolving you asking questions and showing initiative to want to work there. Fair amount of "what to expect" conversation.

Interview
I applied online through the careers website and reached out to a recruiter on LinkedIn. After waiting for about 3 months the recruiter finally emailed me to set up a phone screening. I completed the phone screening which took about 25 minutes and included generic topics (my background, etc.) and the recruiter said she would pass along my information to "the team". Two weeks later after following up twice, I received another email from the first recruiter setting up another call with someone else. After completing that call the woman on the phone said "I think you're really great and would be a great fit for the role and i'm going to recommend you to the hiring manager". Apparently I was lied to like many others that interviewed at J Crew because a week later I was informed that they went with other candidates.
