I applied in-person. I interviewed at J. Crew (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Received a phone call for interview, had the interview with the HR Recruiter, Area and Regional Manager, and had an offer very shortly after. The interview wasn't strange or in-depth, but the HR Recruiter was very focused and asked questions regarding my life rather than experience. They are interested in finding the right person (when it comes to the US).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are the most important qualities that a manager can have?
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at J. Crew in Aug 2016
Interview
Recruiting Manager contacted me first. We had a phone interview that was very in depth and really challenged me. The next step was with the district manager and was much more laid back. It was about my career goals and aspirations and where I wanted to go with J Crew. Then they moved me on to the Store Director. Our conversation was more interview questions but with specifics to her Store.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at J. Crew (Minneapolis, MN)
Interview
It was very much a behavioral interview- sat down in the office with the store manager and discussed previous work experience as well as problems I have faced in the workplace and how I overcame them. She was looking for someone who has worked well in a team as well as a passion for customer experience as a top priority.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J. Crew (Lee, MA)
Interview
Had two interviews. I thought it looked good till a district manager showed up. She was dressed in one of the formal glitter shirts and hot pink satin legging pants and 3" sparkle high heels. Really inappropriate for a Berkshire Store. The 3rd interview with her was brief. I guess she sized me up early. I was wearing a 3 piece JCrew suit ensemble. Obviously not her style. She said she'd get back to me either way. Never did. Waste of my time and energy. Discourteous.
